Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Allied Level 2 CT Tech Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years License: NYS CT Tech License Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Must-Have: - Two (2) years of Level 1 Trauma Center experience - Siemens Scanner experience Description: Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan. Strictly adhere to department policy and procedure for patient safety. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility. Utilize safe patient handling practices. Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC. Identify images and ensure images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility. Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. A patient and compassionate disposition is essential. Must be a team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment.
