North Star Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Licensed Dental Assistant to join our growing pediatric practice in Maple Grove. Job Description- Sterilize dental instruments and prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
- Prepare patients for dental procedures by ensuring comfort and explaining what to expect.
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed and ensure all images are of diagnostic quality.
- Prepare and mix dental materials such as fillings, impressions, and bonding agents.
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
full-time $29 - $32 per hour
Salary: $29-$32/hour depending on experience.
Benefits- Work Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7 AM - 4 PM; Wednesday: Closed; Friday: 7 AM - 1 PM.
- Breaks: 60-minute meal break (not counted as work hours).
- Weekend Work: Only Saturday Mornings from 8am-1pm
- Holiday Shifts: Occasional holiday shifts, compensated at double time.
Current Minnesota Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) license
Current CPR certification
Experience with digital radiographs, coronal polishing, and sealant placement
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Pediatric dental experience is preferred but not required
Friendly, dependable, organized, and eager to learn

Take high-quality digital dental radiographs
Perform coronal polishing and apply fluoride varnish
Place pit and fissure sealants
Assist the doctor during pediatric dental procedures
Prepare and disinfect operatories and sterilize instruments
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and preventive care
Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
Help create a fun, welcoming, and positive experience for every child and family
