Must Have:
\nStrong hands-on experience in COBOL (preferably Enterprise COBOL / VS COBOL II).
\nStrong hands-on experience in JCL.
\nWorking knowledge of Hogan core banking systems and their integration with COBOL/JCL mainframe applications.
\nMainframe environment expertise: z/OS, TSO/ISPF.
\nFile handling knowledge: VSAM, sequential files, SORT utilities (e.g., Syncsort/DFSORT).
\nSolid debugging and incident resolution skills for batch processing and abends.
\nGood understanding of SDLC (Waterfall/Agile) and production support processes.
\n \nPreferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:
\nDB2 (SQL, SPUFI/QMF, stored procedures exposure is a plus).
\nOnline processing exposure: CICS (preferred), IMS (plus).
\nTools: File-Aid, Abend-AID, Expeditor/IBM Debugger.
\nVersion/Change management: Endevor, Changeman, PANVALET.
\nScheduling: Control-M or CA7.
\nMainframe modernization exposure (e.g., Micro Focus, migration, refactoring) is a plus.
\nBanking domain experience (cards, loans, payments, deposits) preferred.
\n \nKey Responsibilities:
\nAnalyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solution designs.
\nDevelop, enhance, and maintain COBOL programs (batch and/or online).
\nCreate and modify JCL jobs, procedures, and utilities to support batch processing.
\nSupport, troubleshoot, and enhance mainframe applications and interfaces involving Hogan systems.
\nPerform unit testing, support system/integration testing, and participate in implementation activities.
\nTroubleshoot and resolve batch failures/job abends, performance issues, and production incidents within SLAs.
\nWork with datasets and file processing involving VSAM and sequential files.
\nInteract with DBAs/Support teams for DB2 (or other databases) access, SQL tuning, and issue resolution.
\nUtilize scheduling and monitoring tools such as Control-M/CA7 (as applicable).
\nEnsure adherence to coding standards, documentation practices, and change management processes (Endevor/Changeman/Git).
\nProvide regular status updates and contribute to operational readiness and continuous improvements.
