Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA for an Experienced Bi-Lingual Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant. The legal assistant will support attorneys by managing client files, preparing and organizing documents, drafting correspondence, and assisting with workers’ compensation forms and filings. Daily responsibilities include scheduling appointments and hearings, maintaining case calendars, updating case management systems, and communicating with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and court personnel in English and another language. The role also involves gathering and organizing medical records and evidence, tracking case deadlines, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and complete. The legal assistant will collaborate closely with attorneys and staff to support efficient case progression and high-quality client service.\n
Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to review case documents, medical records, and workers’ compensation files for accuracy and completeness.

• Ability to work with data analytics and data modeling tools to track case metrics, deadlines, and office workflows.
\n
• Familiarity with data warehousing and Extract Transform Load (ETL) concepts for organizing and maintaining digital case records and reports.
\n
• Fluency in English and another language (Spanish strongly preferred) to communicate effectively with diverse clients and stakeholders.

• Prior experience as a legal assistant or similar role, preferably in workers’ compensation or personal injury law.
\n
• Proficiency with legal case management software, document management systems, and standard office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, email).
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively in an on-site legal office environment.
\n
• Relevant education such as a paralegal certificate, associate degree, or equivalent experience in a legal or administrative setting.
